Welcome to "BREATHE YOURSELF CALM"Ā
A Masterclass Series that Helps you Figure out What Kind of Breathing Really Helps Calm and Soothe You in Times of Stress.
We all know that 'Just Breathing' or 'Taking Some Deep Breaths' doesn't always work to help us feel better.Ā It's time for you to Understand HOW and WHY that is, and WHAT DOES WORK so you can reclaim your comfort, health, and life!
You have the Power to Influence how you feel - YES, EVEN IN TIMES OF STRESS! Your breathe can play a role in that, but more importantly, your Nervous System plays a role and it begins with figuring out WHAT WORKS for You NOW, instead of defaulting to what worked in the past or what other people think will work for you.Ā
BeginĀ with Video 1 below, then continue through the series of short videos and worksheets to figure out how best to calm and soothe yourself in times of stress, anxiety, big emotions, triggers, or whatever life throws at you!Ā

What if Your NERVOUS SYSTEM needs MORE than Breathing Techniques to Calm and Soothe You?
Ā
Well, you'd be human then! The simple truth is that intentional breathing can help you calm, soothe, and recover faster from whatever life throws at you but it's not always going to be what you need.
Ā
Stress, overwhelm, and emotions we feel in response to what's happening in our lives is subjective. Some stress is more deeply woven into your body's memory (aka survival system), making it harder to recover from. Sometimes we need a break from the stressor in order to recover, and there are times when we don't get to make that choice. And sometimes, our nervous systems need more or different support - or YOU need more support - to recover.
Ā
Every single person learns how to calm and soothe themselves in one way or another in childhood and throughout our lives. We learn out of necessity how to cope, survive, and get through the day. The thing is, this automated way you respond to stress may not be what you need now. It served you in the past, but it may also be a barrier or limitation to your innate ability to influence how you feel and recover from stress.Ā
Ā
Here are some other ways you can support your nervous system to help you recover faster - aside from taking this Masterclass Series to learn what type of breathing works best for you calming/soothing you:
-
Identify your stress. Not just the external stress, the internal stress - that's the stress that's harder to see. The really insidious stress that often flies by under the radar.Ā Awareness itself is not healing, but it can open up all the doors and windows to healing the root causes of your stress, overwhelm, and emotional patterns.Ā
- Breathing in ways that activate calm inside of you in response to noticing stress, anxiety, overwhelm, feeling triggered, or any form of discomfort. That's why you're here, right?! If you're skeptical about breathing techniques to calm yourself, that's valid. There's some stress breathing just can't help. But it's still an important skill to know what breathing techniques work best for you and your nervous system. Respiration (aka, breathing) is directly linked to your autonomic nervous system that's responsible for your stress/calm switch.Ā
- Stimulating your Vagus Nerve. There are many ways to do this, and some are more complex than others so it's important to learn a variety of techniques to discover which are easy for you to do and effective in activating your calm switch.Ā (Hint - it's always better to figure this out when you're not already in a state of stress/distress!)
- Identifying your [unmet] Needs so they can be [better] met in new ways. This repatterns your nervous system over time, and is WAY SIMPLER than it sounds. It helps develop a sense of safety inside you so you can feel more present, comfortable, and at home in your body.
-
Develop a Reassurance Practice.Ā This probably isn't what you think when you read the word 'Reassurance', or maybe it is...it's learning to identify your patterns of discomfort, understanding that this is your nervous system not feeling safe or feeling an invisible threat learned from the past - unless you're in clear and present danger, then it's a present/visible threat, and reassuring your nervous system into a state of calm and safe presence.Ā
These are all ways you can learn and be guided through Supporting your Nervous System inside the Self-Healing Support Community. You don't have to *do it all*, but you will benefit from trying new things to figure out what is easy for you to do and effective in calming/soothing you in times of stress.Ā
In the Self-Healing Support Community, you get access to support for your nervous system and your body's natural healing systems that is done with you and for you. With this level of ongoing support, you won't have to do it all, find all the resources, and learn all the things - especially if you're already spread too thin, don't have enough time, struggle to practice self-care, aren't getting results that match your efforts, or don't know where to begin.Ā
I am personally inviting you to be supported in ways that will build a bridge between where you are and where you want to be. It's time to heal yourself, but not by yourself!

Hello,
Lately Iāve been thinking about why I feel so passionate about showing up every day in support of the self-healers, change-makers, and cycle-breakers like you. Itās because I struggled with feeling disempowered and disconnected from myself and my body for so long.Ā
Ā
I really struggled to find healing support and self-care that worked for me which left me stuck in a loop of never-ending searching, seeking, and exhausting my personal resources (time, energy, money) trying out all the things.Ā
Ā

I was driven, like you, to heal and to create a better version of myself and my life. I was driven, like you, to experience joy, connection, safety, and something better than what I was used to. I knew, like you, that there had to be something better out there for me and a part of me thought I deserved betterā¦and part of me thought I didnāt.Ā
Ā
I reached a point in my self-healing journey that I refused to accept that it had to take so long, be so hard, and never get lasting results. Iām stubborn that way, it took a long time to reach that point but I eventually arrived at āI donāt acceptā the way things are. I was sick and tired of every form of self-care, healing practice, and therapy I tried being a temporary fix. I was sick and tired of upholding all the burden of research, learning, and doing all the things on my own. I was ready for lasting relief and change and healingā¦and I stubbornly discovered it.Ā
Ā
I had already completed hundreds of hours of training and certifications in a variety of healing modalities. I was already practicing healing and self-care with clients and in my personal life at this point of stubborn non-acceptance. I had already researched, learned, mastered, filtered through, and practiced so many thingsā¦and I *still* felt like my healing and self-care goals were just out of reach and unsustainable. I was stuck and it really pissed me off!

Remember that drive to create more of what you want, more healing, and more comfort I mentioned above? That drive is what makes self-healers so unique. We are willing to do just about anything to create the change we seek. But we need each other, we need a support system and a community so we can sustain that drive until we achieve our goals.Ā
Ā
It was when I found a support system that the struggle ended and I began to make lasting progress. You can too.Ā
Ā
This is about community care being essential to self-care and self-healing. But itās more than that, too. Itās about seeing ourselves in each other to gain insight and inspiration that puts wind in our sails. Itās about mirroring one another for glimpses deeper into our subconscious patterns than we can see on our own. Itās about shifting our approach to one aligned with thriving, instead of continuing to approach things in the automatic ways we were conditioned to cope and survive in the past. The old ways aligned with coping and surviving once served us but they wonāt carry us into the outcomes we desire, they canāt get us where we want to be in our journey.Ā
Ā
With a support system, we connect with the resources, guidance, and tools we need to clarify, get focused, take action, and make adjustments along the way to the healing, growth, and improvements we desire.Ā
Ā
To revisit why I do what I do and show up every day to support the healing, self-care, and self-improvement efforts of self-healersā¦I do it because I want you to succeed, I celebrate your effort, and I refuse to sit idly by while others struggle to get lasting results or achieve their goals. I want you to see what I see in you. I see your drive, your passion, and your inner light that wants to shine brightly. I want you to see it too, and more than that, I want you to experience and embody it.Ā
Ā
Iām here for you. To answer your questions, to offer guidance, to support your effort, to map out your plan of action, to reassure your nervous system, to teach you how to reconnect with your body to foster safety & regulation, and to celebrate and witness your progress every step of the way.
Ā
